The Bengals made quite a few moves in the off-season already to upgrade the backfield. Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander were signs that this could greatly impact the starting roster. Waynes is a nice #2 compliment on the perimeter and Alexander is an excellent slot-man. Alexander is clearly the replacement for Dennard who the Bengals let go in FA…..but then hasn’t found a landing spot yet. What was Waynes going to be? Oh that’s right, a huge upgrade over Dre Kirkpatrick!
It is no secret that I have not been a Dre fan for a while now. He is the worst tackler on the team, takes terrible angles in the open field and when he gets burned he commits a PI to save the TD. When he gets beat it is always the safeties fault and when the QB overthrows the ball he acts like he just made a diving breakup play to win the Super Bowl. Dre you are not Deion Sanders and while you are athletic and have been steady in coverage you are not worth the salary you received or the bravado that you bring.
95% of Bengals fans agree with this move, thanks Cincyjungle.com! The only other player that sucked as bad as Dre was B.W. Webb……and he gone too! Greg Maybin may or may not make this team depending who is drafted but with the depth in Darius Phillips (who showed some serious flashes) the Bengals look great starting WJIII, Waynes and Alexander as the starting three-set. Now that we have secured the Vonn/Bates backfield the secondary is now on equal footing with the DL. Let’s get some linebackers and party!
Dre is the worst. His insta feed is terrible too
