An Open Invite to Washington Fans Amid Scandal

News is about to break any minute, hour, day about the sex scandal that was going on inside of the Redskins…..Red Tails….Red Wolves organization. Some of the stuff that I have seen on Twitter ranges anywhere from involvement with Jeffrey Epstein’s women/child trafficking ring to using blackmail as a way to control your personnel. Either way it sounds like Dan Snyder is out and the team will be forced into selling to a new owner (probably Jeff Bezos). They could stay or leave Washington but right now fans are feeling embarrassed, sick and sad. I want to invite them to be Bengals fans and here is why.

We are not that different. Our ownership has received a lot of criticism for making the wrong moves (or none at all). We look back at the glory years of Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiasion like you do of Joe Theisman and Doug Williams (although you have a dynasty of Super Bowls). We have had fun and flashy players like Pacman and Chad, you had Deion and Albert Haynesworth. Your fan base is fair weather except for the die-hards. You are not even the most popular sport in your city.

Here is what we offer: 1) we are the underdog story that you have been used to believing in for so many years, 2) we have the talent on this roster to grow into a real contender, not just a pretend one, 3) our owner has finally opened up the checkbook to bring in external talent, 4) nobody outside of Cincinnati really cheers for the Bengals, 5) we have dope helmets which is what most kids gravitate towards.

So I put this out there with open arms Washington fans. The easy way out is to either suck this turmoil up or go root for the Ravens. Isn’t it fun to hate on the sister city that has a winning culture, a MVP and floats dead bodies on the regular in the Inner Harbor? Well now you can hate them like you hate Dallas. Open arms, come join us!
