Pre-Season NFL QB Rankings – BengalsGM Release

In the preseason everyone is walking into camp healthy assuming that this could be their big year to win the Super Bowl. In reality we know that a little over half of the teams really have the rosters built to make a run and often the top teams going into the preseason end up in the final game of the season. Everyone expects the Chiefs to be as good as last season and the Ravens to make a real push with an improved defense. It will come down to QB play, the most important position on the field. The first release of the QB Rankings are out:

Very few people can argue against Patrick Mahomes being #1 overall. Sure Lamar was the league MVP but Mahomes is the complete package and just seems to get better every game. Joe Burrow has not thrown a pass in the NFL but ascended to #15. Fan bias, a little, but look what young QBs are behind him. Would you draft any of them over Joe Burrow? I wouldn’t.

The veterans like Cousins, Carr, Jimmy G are good but not great QBs. The jury is still out on Mayfield and Goff if they are going to take their game to the next level or join the average guys like Cousins and Carr. I will probably get some heat for Tannehill being so high but take a look at that guys stats. He finally found a system that he can excel in and is not a punching bag in the pocket.

Hopefully we see our boy JB move up into the top 10 this season but let’s remember, he is a rookie and is going to struggle at times. MVP in 2021 though, who’s with me?!?!?
