Calm down Bengals fans. If you rely on ESPN as your single source of news then there are problems on the internets. According to Ben Baby (sounds like a fake name) the Bengals have already applied the Franchise Tag to AJ Green. Here is the story as of 10:15am on 3/15. The rest of the reporting world knows that this is not true…yet. In a world where the media always wants to be first I find it annoying that conclusions are jumped to. Clearly the Bengals are awaiting the new CBA to be signed and understand the ramifications to the cap if Green is applied a tag but this is just careless reporting.
Will AJ Green be a Bengal in 2020……yes, most likely. Have the Bengals made stupid franchise choices to question if this will happen, yes. Stay tuned and don’t jump to conclusion ESPN….don’t try to invent the news….leave that to CNN and Fox News.
